What is Banane?

Aiesec-TU-Berlin-Banane

At the weekend from the 26th – 28th of august 2011 we are glad to welcome about 100 trainees from all over the world in Berlin, our beautiful capital. These trainees are members of the student organization AIESEC and/or IAESTE.

Since 2005 we have been organizing this event with a great success and we want to see our trainees this year happy again. Especially in Berlin there is a lot to be excited about because Berlin is not only the capital of Germany but one of the most historical, lively and multi- cultural cities in Europe. People who have visited Berlin will tell you how adorable the spirit of this green city is.

For having an unforgettable weekend we will use the opportunity to mix multi- cultural exchange with exploring a new environment. To guarantee that we will have some fun activities, like a boats tour on Berlin's famous river, the Spree, our OC (Organizational Committee) for Ban.ane is planning that event months ahead. Food, accommodation and transportation are taken care of by the OC with financial support of the DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer AustauschDienst). Moreover the trainees contribute with a small fee for the event to become a great success.

Attractive for participants are the two nights which they will spend in Berlin and where they will get to know the city night life. One evening we will organize a party in our university (TU Berlin). Moreover the trainees will get closer at breakfast, lunch and dinner time as well as at the Global Village party. During the day, we will visit interesting, historical places in the center of the capital. Of course, we will offer our hopefully happy trainees a visit to the German parliaments' s seat: The Bundestag.

Where ever you have been before, no city is comparable to Berlin!

Berlin has a long and painful history to carry. Wars and separated families through the famous Berlin wall between the eastern and western part were huge burdens during a long time. Now is the time to bring students from all over the world together to know and learn more about our hometown's history. Come and join us in our discovery!

What is Global village ?

*You don't know Global Village? No problem- here is the explanation:

Every trainee brings some small fingerfood or drink typical for his or her country to the event, so that everybody can taste the food of each other's home. It should be ready for consumption as you arrive here since we cannot provide cooking utensils.

It is an amazing experience and perfect to get to know each other.
